Wai-iti Court Motels are nestled in a quiet residential location just 1km off State Highway 1 (City By-pass) and within easy walking distance to Caroline Bay, Timaru’s downtown and local restaurants. Timaru’s bus service stops right outside our units.
Timaru is a place where people can enjoy a diverse range of activities all year round. If your passion is outdoors, culture or simply to relax then Timaru is the destination you are looking for. Sporting facilities are plentiful and other key attractions to be enjoyed are forest & bush walks, fishing, art galleries and museums, wine tasting, marine cruises. There’s something for everyone. Timaru is only two hours drive south of Christchurch and a similar drive to Dunedin. It is also an ideal base to explore Mt Cook and the Waitaki Lakes. Caroline Bay is also an extremely popular spot at Christmas time with the Caroline Bay Association hosting a Christmas Carnival which commences on Boxing Day and concludes around mid January..
